This is a recipe from my Brazilian friend, Camila, I met in Brussels. It was delicious and easy to make! It tastes like a chocolate caramel, if that makes sense. You'll just have to try it ;-)
1 can of sweetened-condensed milk
1 tablespoon of butter
4 tablespoons of cocoa powder*
chocolate sprinkles
Mix all ingredients and cook in microwave for 6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes (I'm not sure if my mom's new microwave is more powerful, but I had to stir every minute). Allow to cool. Grease hands and roll into small balls. Roll balls in chocolate sprinkles.
*I read that American sweetened-condensed milk is not quite as sweet as Brazilian so someone recommended using a sweetened cocoa like Nestle.

ReplyDeleteJust found your blog from Dinner Time Ideas. I can't believe you have a recipe for brigadeiros! My husband lived in Brazil for a couple years and loves these things. I can't wait to try them!
