Toffee Brownies

I don't know if you can really call this one a recipe. Its more like an idea really. I originally saw it as a Paula Dean recipe, but again, there is no real recipe involved! Its too easy to even claim. But that said, these brownies are delightful! One of the easiest treats I have ever made. I used a Trader Joe's brownie mix, which I normally love, but for these brownies I would stick to just a basic mix. The Trader Joe's mix was a little too rich.

Toffee Brownies

1 {17 oz.} Package Brownie Mix & Ingredients That Go Along With Mix
2 {4.25 oz.} Symphony Candy Bars, with Toffee

Make Brownie mix according to package directions. Line an 8x8 inch cake pan with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Pour half of the brownie batter in the pan and spread out evenly. Unwrap candy bars and place on top of the brownie mix, side by side. Top with remaining batter and spread evenly. Bake in a preheated oven according to package directions {I always bake brownies for a few minutes less than it recommends}. Let cool completely, then remove from pan by lifting the foil edges up. Lay flat and cut into squares.
