Mom's Chili

Mom's Chili

1 - 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/3 - 1/2 diced green pepper
1/4 - 1/3 diced onion

3 cans of beans (choose from Red, Kidney, Black, Pinto etc)
1 can diced tomatoes (I like the petite diced)
2 TBSP chili powder
1 tsp cumin (I go really light on this as it is pretty strong)
1 tsp salt

Brown the ground beef with the green pepper and onion.  Drain fat off of meat and add beans (with their juices), tomatoes, chili powder, cumin and salt.  Stir together and simmer for 35 minutes.

We love to serve it with tortilla chips and maybe a little cheese.
