Double Chocolate Nuggets

Mom found this recipe in the Orange County Register back in 1992. We've been enjoying them ever since. It's about as simple as it can get when coming to making cookies.

1 box devil's food cake mix
chocolate chips (as many as you'd like)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients in large bowl or electric mixer bowl. Mix until blended. Drop batter by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, 2 inches apart. Bake for 10 minutes and allow to rest on cookie sheet for 5 minutes to cool slightly. Makes about 2 dozen cookies.

*Variation: Use a yellow cake mix and add white chocolate chips.

  1. Sounds so quick and easy! They look really yummy too. I wonder if it would work to roll them in powder sugar before cooking them like Chocolate Crinkles?

  2. These are so fast and easy! You can do all sorts of variations too! I have a recipe called "little chocolate clouds" that you roll in the powdered sugar... they look really pretty when they are cooked!
