Old Fashion Lemon Cake

This little number is great. Its moist and delicious, and oh, so very easy. I love lemon and this one is just so simple I couldn't wait to make it. I also love using my new microplane zester, so any excuse to pull it out will do for me! We loved this cake... Greg said it was "moist and light... not too dense". My little baker in the making...

Old Fashion Lemon Cake

1 box Yellow Cake Mix
1 small package Lemon Jell-O
4 Eggs
1/4 Cup Flour
3/4 Cup Water
3/4 Cup Oil

Glaze:
2 Lemons, juiced & zested
2 Cups Powdered Sugar

Mix all ingredients and pour into a greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Bake according to package directions.

While cake is baking, make Glaze. When cake is just slightly cool, poke LOTS of small holes and drizzle glaze on top. You can eat the cake warm if you can't wait, but I prefer it mostly cooled. Yummy!
