Snickers Cookies

I forgot that I was going to post this recipe until I saw Alison's Snickerdoodle's. Greg calls these cookie's snickerdoodles (for good reason), but they are not what you envision when you think of a snickerdoodle. This was the only recipe I had with me while I was living in Australia, and it was loved by one and all. I made them two weeks ago for a football party and the platter was cleared pretty quickly! If you are a peanut butter/chocolate lover, this ones for you!

Snickers Cookies

1 Cup Butter, softened
1 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1 Cup Light Brown Sugar
1 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
3 1/2 Cups Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 Package Snicker's Mini Candy Bars

Combine butter, peanut butter, and sugars in a mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Slowly add eggs and vanilla and thoroughly combine.
Mix in flour, salt, & baking soda. Cover and chill dough for 2-3 hours.
Remove dough from fridge and divide into 1 TBSP pieces and flatten. Form the dough into a ball around each snickers bar. Place on a greased or parchment covered cookie sheet & bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Let cookies cool on a wire rack. You can sprinkle powdered sugar, or drizzle melted chocolate on top... I do both. Just depends on my mood!

  1. Hehehe you used one of my recipes! Aren't these just the BESTEST cookies!! You make them even look pretty! I've heard you can add Rolos instead of Snickers too. Sounds yummy.

  4. I made these with Snickers and rollos this week. There were 10 missionaries in my home - they were gone in 10 minutes!

  5. We made these a few weeks ago. We warmed them up in the microwave for about 10 sec so the caramel would be soft and a little runny. yummy!
